Based in Portland, Oregon and available to teachers nationally, Blackbird Code is an online platform for teachers that makes teaching and learning to code accessible by incrementing the learning process and allowing students to experience a real coding language with supportive modifications that allow them, for example, to find what they may have coded incorrectly and fix it.
Blackbird Code is designed especially for those students who already believe that learning coding is out of their league - because of the lack of opportunity and encouragement they may have faced previously.
Our mission: To make programming education accessible to all students from 6th through 12th grade.
