Founded in 2010 by a team of Computer Science grads from MIT to inspire a generation of young innovators worldwide. For 11 years, we worked with schools and companies like Google and Adobe to bring hands-on coding bootcamps to students age 5 - 18 in the classroom. In 2018, we launched our live online programs, bringing the quality we’re known for to 30+ countries and 200k+ students. Camp K12 is an online international school that runs an elite coding program introducing students to future technologies like Metaverse development, virtual reality, augmented reality, and 3D game development.
Our mission is two fold:
1. To make future technologies more accessible to kids through following a project based pedagogy that is fun and exciting. This way children pre high school feel confident entering the CS field and can see how it relates to their other interests (gaming, design, math, science).
2. To create an inclusive environment for coders from all backgrounds. The international component of our online school allows us to bridge cultural gaps and work together as a community through a common love for learning and code.
