ExCITE is a Research Practitioner Partnership (RPP) comprising International Technology and Engineering Education Association (a national teacher professional association), subject matter experts, researchers, evaluators, partnering with state and local supervisors and classroom teachers in two school districts in Maryland and Virginia (Carroll County, MD and Henrico County, VA), to enhance the exemplary NSF-funded Beauty and Joy of Computing (BJC) curriculum with the integration of real-world heads-on, hands-on problem-based design challenges to ensure the resulting curriculum is amenable to the high school Technology and Engineering teachers who will deliver the curriculum

ExCITE will add robotics to use the well- respected BJC AP-CSP curriculum to suit the design based teaching used by T&E and STEM teachers
