Although gender differences in a technological world receive significant research attention, much of this research and practice aims at how society and education can impact the success and retention of women in computer science. Gender biases within software, however, have received almost no attention. The GenderMag Project offers methods to help software providers find + fix the gender-inclusivity “bugs” in their software. The methods are research-based, empirically shown to work, and freely available at gendermag.org.
