The National Center for Computer Science Education champions, researches, and provides equitable computer science learning opportunities for K16 teachers and students.

  • Champion - We promote CS education in national, state, and local contexts; convene K16 stakeholders in Minnesota; and participate in the Expanding Computing Education Pathways Alliance.
  • Research - We carry out research to understand how to support and broaden the participation of K16 educators and students in computing.
  • Learning - We partner with teachers and schools to support effective CS teaching, including developing curriculum and professional development grounded in evidence-based practices.
  • Equity - We believe all students, regardless of background or experience level, deserve access to high-quality CS learning opportunities where they can be successful.

Our programs address the needs of in-service and pre-service teachers in learning to teach K12 computer science for all students. Learn more about our programs or connect with us about partnership opportunities at css.edu/csed.
