ETR’s work in the area of computer science education includes developing strategies to increase the participation of girls and Latino/a youth, studying the factors that support or undermine computer science (CS) education pathways from elementary school to college, and building the capacity of schools and community-based organizations to use research to strengthen their services. Specific studies have focused on pair programming, computer game programming, parent-child relationships, computing for the social good, community college students in CS, and the role of bootcamps in CS education.
