My interest in computing and computational science education has evolved from a focus on graduate to also include undergraduate and K-12 education, since I soon realized that an effective graduate education must be rooted in knowledge and skills developed at early grades. In the last few years, I have developed new collaborations with researchers on computing and math education to develop a pathway to incorporate computing in Louisiana high schools. I am involved in the creation of new curriculum for high school computing courses which are part of the essential core of four state-approved STEM Pathways. I have also formed a close collaboration with East Baton Rouge Parish School System that follows the Research Practitioner Partnership model.
