From the Hour of Code to the Hour of AI

You might be asked how the Hour of AI connects to the Hour of Code. Here are a few ways to explain it:

  • The Hour of Code helped show that anyone can learn computer science. The Hour of AI does the same thing for artificial intelligence — showing that anyone can learn about AI, too.

  • Just like the Hour of Code made coding less intimidating, the Hour of AI helps students go from just using AI tools to understanding how they work — and how they can shape the future responsibly.

  • The Hour of Code built a global community around computer science education. The Hour of AI builds on that momentum, extending the mission to include AI education for both students and adults.
